C:\Windows\Logs\CBS\CBS.log access denied
I am running Vista Home Basic SP2. I noticed that my jpeg's would not open so I decided to do some investigation. I am running AVG free and many other malware, registry clean up, etc programs. I have run a full virus scan many times but nothing comes up.
So, last night I ran chkdsk, nothing showed as a problem
Ran sfc /scannow, the following file was referenced C:\Windows\Logs\CBS\CBS.log. when I tried to open the log I got a message "access denied"
Can someone please advise. My original problem was that my pictures would not open with a message c:\users\ so on could not be opened.

To find out what files it can't repair
Click Start - All Programs - Accessories - Right click Command Prompt and
choose Run As Administrator. Type (or copy the below line and one blank line
underneath and right click in the command prompt window and choose Paste)
To view it
-------------
findstr /c:"[SR] Cannot" %windir%\logs\cbs\cbs.log |more
To copy to clipboard
---------------------------
findstr /c:"[SR] Cannot" %windir%\logs\cbs\cbs.log |clip
* The character preceding more (|more) and clip (|clip) at the end of each
line is the pipe character not an l (L) or a 1 (one). Press Shift + \ for
the pipe character, usually above the enter key.
